The Rise of Modern Product Photography

Fifty years ago, cameras were as huge as a cabinet and processing of images took weeks if not months to be completed. Photography equipments, though bulky and often exhausting to transport, had done their jobs and functioned as desired. Flash were literally the size of a household light bulb and also produces a very glaring light. And one could only imagine how hot it would be after an hour of taking pictures!

Fast forward to the recent time, full functioning cameras can now be as small as a matchbox, not mentioning those specially designed ones that are expectedly smaller than that. And as expected, equipments and accessories have also joined the miniature race and now they come in every tiny size imaginable. The average equipment size had changed and almost twenty times smaller than they were fifty years ago. But their power and capacity to do the job are constantly increasing as their sizes decreased. Actually a good thing for us.

The world, not just Product Photography in UK had seen this significant change and evolution in the field of professional photography. From light rooms to portable lightboxes and other photography equipments (click this video "Advance Technology for Product Photography"), one can only wish that this change may continue to be for the better.
